I spent the first few years of my career practising exclusively in crime and I still deal with criminal work, so I can offer advice on these matters. However, if matters have reached the stage where you find yourself arrested for or charged with an offence, the risk of ending up with a criminal record and the possible loss of your liberty is simply too great to consider representing yourself in the criminal courts unless you absolutely have no other choice but to do so.
If you do not qualify for or do not wish to apply for legal aid, I can represent you in criminal proceedings but this would not be under the terms of your legal lifeLINE subscription. Please contact me here and I would be happy to discuss this further
